Grain Belt Apartments

Minneapolis, Minnesota

Formerly a vacant field, untouchable archaeological ruins, and dilapidated office building, Kaas Wilson and Everwood Development won a city-wide competition to redevelop the site in the historic Sheridan neighborhood of Northeast Minneapolis. Nestled between a myriad of historic buildings in the heart of Northeast Minneapolis, the new apartment buildings capture classic view corridors and incorporate modern design, but at the same time are respectful of the historic nature of the spot and compliment it in color and finish. The project consists of two four-story buildings with 150 luxury units, connected by an underground parking garage, a newly renovated historic office building, and grassed pocket park over the preserved historic foundations of Minneapolis’ first brewery.
