Minnesota State University, Mankato has awarded Kaas Wilson Architects their Centennial Student Union Ballroom renovation project! KWA competed against some of Minnesota’s most experienced and successful firms to win this project, and we are thrilled to serve the State, MnSCU and Mankato yet again.

Construction Begins on The Seasons at Apple Valley

Kaas Wilson Architects, Frana Companies, Ecumen, and Nichols Financial are pleased to announce the start of construction for The Seasons at Apple Valley. The development boasts 134 units of memory care suites, and assisted and catered living for seniors. Occupancy is expected for May 2011. An article announcing the groundbreaking ran in the February 5, 2010 edition of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.

Kaas Wilson Gives Tour of Inver Glen Senior Living

On January 13, 2010, Collin Kaas and Link Wilson gave a tour of Inver Glen Senior Living to the Builders Association of the Twin Cities. The project is under review by the U.S. Green Building Council; the Design and Construction team are hoping for a LEED Silver Rating. Link and Collin showed the visitors from the Builders Association how they did it.

Open House for Inver Glen Senior Living

Over 400 guests attended the Open House for Inver Glen Senior Living on October 20, 2009. Inver Glen Senior Living, the first LEED certified senior living project in the metro area, recently opened and eighty residents have already moved in!

Kaas Wilson Awarded State Contract

Kaas Wilson Architects, competing with the best senior services design teams in the state, was awarded the contract to design the Minnesota Veterans Homes first Adult Day Care on their Minneapolis campus. The State Designer Selection Board—in choosing Kaas Wilson—emphasized their appreciation for our skills, experience, enthusiasm, and understanding of the needs of seniors. The 2.5 million dollar project is in the pre-design phase now, with occupancy scheduled for September 2010.

UPDATE: The State has approved the schematic design, and we are working towards a Federal Submission of the Design Development on June 15th.
